Hi All

I was not QRV during the contest no 80m Antennas at present time..however a
recent addition to my shack armoury is the Dx-Atlas+IonoProbe monitoring
software..over the past few weeks I have been interested in watching 160/80
activity during disturbances etc..

Last evening during the contest period the "Auroral Latitude" was well South
into GM and showing Activity level 10 and had been fluctuating between 6-8
from around 0700. For a short period around 21z it moved well South of the
border.

Not being a boffin I make no claims however when it has been this low in
Latitude it usually has pronounced effects on inter UK signals but hardly
ever on Mid to Southern European signals. Signals are up and down like a
Yo-yo and sometimes that quick.
