I, too, found conditions unusual. With my extremely inefficient antenna (too short, too low and too bent) I would normally expect to hear about twice as many stations on 160 than can hear me. Not last evening.

I arrived on the band at 2145 and had one sweep through to find a few multipliers for my PACC score, then started looking for Gs at 2154. I heard a total of 18 stations (excluding the previously-worked PAs) between then and leaving the band at 2243. Amazingly all 18 heard me without any problem!!! I am amazed that I heard absolutely no trace of anybody else - no GMs, GWs or other EU.

Still, I hope the RH multiplier was of use to some, although Bryn G3SWC was also on from the area.
