Won 4, lost this one. Congratulations to whoever toppled me on the
individual listing. 258 Qs, no dupes.

First comment. I experienced something which I feel is in really bad taste.
CQing on 3539 from 15 minutes before the event and was continually jammed by
someone sending Test slowly on a straight key. S9 +20dB. No callsign and
moved off when the contest started with no attempt to call CQ. Either he was
put up to it by team mates, which I doubt and sincerely hope not, or has a
hangup about people claiming a frequency as theirs. I had a run-in a few
years ago with someone about this and only hope it wasn't them.

I thought propagation was generally long skip from the start and lots of
strong stations from GM and the south coast. This appeared to even out the
perceived Midlands advantage, so much so that I had my worst first hour for
at least 10 years. The other noticeable thing was that stations round 3510
to 3520 appeared to be doing better in the first hour. Maybe be callers were
spreading out more.

No major change here except the ends of the dipole were around 12m high. A
marginal improvement. Keying behaved itself once I used Page Up/Down to
change speed rather than turn the knob on the microHam Keyer. Ran on 3539
all the time and knocked of quite a lot on the 2nd VFO.

Hour/Qs : 1/87, 2/71, 3/61, 4/39. Ft1kMP, Acom 1000, Dipole centre at
17m, ends at 12m. Writelog 10.52F
