Good propagation across the UK, reinforces my view that these events should
start later in the year than January. Great to work so many M3s. Had to
contend with a few problem, firstly my error rate seemed higher than normal
but I put this down to an attack of red wine syndrome! Secondly, the
Writelog/Winkey problem was apparent again with the speed varying at will. I
still haven't resolved the keying problem when I transmit on the sub vfo.
There is a conflict with PTT via the comm port which only manifests itself
in this situation. Using the footswitch to do rx/tx switching is ok.

Other than that I enjoyed the little event. I was going ok until about 2115
and then decided to do main VFO S&P which proved a big mistake. Far too many
time wasters, ie at end of QSO - 73, dit dit, dit dit and then a long CQ
before I could find out that I had in fact worked the guy already. One new
trend I noticed was that several stations insisted on sending my call sign
before giving their report, even though I had already logged it eg -
