I use 2 different Dlink Access points at home..... DWL-700AP and DWL2000AP 
the 700 is outside up the mast behind a dish pointing at a neighbours farm 
half a mile away..... he has another 700 in repeater mode...no connections 
apart from DC.. He played on the internet all CQWW weekend and found it 
reliable all the time...so Dlinks don't mind 400 watts :-)
