I believe the committee are aware of the present shortcomings Doug.  Many of 
the points recently posted here were aired during the contesting forum at the 
HF Convention in October 2004, by which time the 2005 calendar had already 
been agreed.
  
I imagine that the 2006 calendar will likely reflect current thinking.
