The Worked All Europe DX Contest takes place from 00:00 UTC on
Saturday 10th to 23:59 UTC on Sunday 11th September. It's an
SSB-only event on the 5 contest bands from 10 to 80m.

Rules at http://www.darc.de/referate/dx/xedcwr.htm

SD directly supports this contest. V12.00 runs on any Windows
PC and is free from www.ei5di.com.

Select Type 9 - General, Country Multipliers

.CTY File : WAE
Multipliers count ? : B (by band)
Points per QSO : 1
Pts/Bonus : 0 (Multipliers)
Mode : SSB
Mixed Mode? : N

Work non-Europeans only (if you're in Europe).

SD displays inappropriate callsigns or prefixes (and dupes)
in red as you type them. Your score shown, while logging,
reflects the correct weighting for multipliers on each band.

QTCs are the fun, and challenging, part of this contest.
Non-Europeans send details of previously logged QSOs, known
as QTCs, and Europeans log the QTCs for extra points - see
the rules web page for more information.

As you enter callsigns, SD tracks and displays the number of
remaining QTCs available from that station - up to a maximum
of 10. You can log your quota of 10 QTCs, from each station,
in more than 1 batch. Even if a particular callsign is a
"dupe", SD still shows how many QTCs, if any, are available.

To see how to log QTCs, set up a WAE test file, log a few QSOs
and then enter the QTC command in the callsign field.

Note: If, for example, W3LPL sends a QTC as 0905 DL1AA 215,
you can log this, in SD, as 0905DL1AA215, followed by Enter.
This is faster and simpler than entering the fields separately,
but you may do that if you prefer.

After the contest, use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo-format
.LOG entry file. If you log any QTCs, SD creates a separate
.QTC file. Email them, as attached files, to waedc at dxhf.darc.de.

Paul EI5DI

ps - for information, SD has supported F11 (to wipe a QSO)
since February 1998. The preferred option is Minus. Alt-W
works too.
