[UK-CONTEST] Contest QSLing policies

Personally I find most QSL cards to be complete waste of time. While a
DXpedition or some special "first" type QSo's might be worthy of a QSL
card, I am puzzled by people who want QSL's for QSO's that are purely routine.
While I generally detest the chore of QSling, I do believe that if a job is
worth doing at all it should be done well and am happy to dish out a new
country or square to someone. What I don't understand is the nth DL RU or
plain ol G who wants a card from me as G4TSH for some QSO (contest or
otherwise) on 40m. A new M3 yes, but some ole G3 who must have made
thousands of QSO's with G?

As someone who does not collect cards I find that a request by e-mail is
the easiest to deal with so long as the requester is happy to get my card
back via the bureau. Directs get dealt with in the normal way and bureau
cards, well I haven't received any of those for years.

QSL's belong in the era when you had to send a postcard to someone to
arrange a QSO! now we have Internet chat rooms and the DX cluster for that
....
