Well I was on and I certainly do not want it to die.
Its one of my favourite contests when I can get on! Even planned to have a
go from the hotel at the GMDX convention in April, but my rig blew up just
after my first QSO with Don!
I specifically like fact its CW, short duration, and the contest exchange is
something other than the normal 599 & serial, where you really have to read
the exchange. Accuracy is all important in this one.
I thought that points were already deducted for postcode errors.
Numbers were definately down this year, I know that because apart from
finding it hard to find anyone new to work after the first hour, my own
postcode came back to me twice.! Correct both times as well so that says
something.
The early start is not a problem for me, its over by 10am local and so the
other family demands can be attended to. Moving it later in the day on a
Sunday would definately give me some grief!
What to do? Move it out of the holiday season for sure but where? Sorry not
enough experience to know the ramifications of selecting a contest date!
Thats one for the HFCC I guess.
