Hello all

Congrats to all the winners in HF NFD - Cris GM4FAM and I are quite happy 
with our 5th placing in the Restricted section - my first HF NFD in n years. 
If I can just stop Cris using that damn paddle we'll do better in future 
;-)

HF NFD was the first contest I ever encountered - in 1969 I had a summer job 
at Redifon in Crawley and visited the Basingstoke (?) NFD station on the 
North Downs - a real thrill and made me want to be a contester !  Mike G3IAF 
was one of the ops but I can't remember other names or even the /P callsign 
?

Interesting to look at participation in HF NFD (guess this gets discussed 
every year) :

Overall entries are reasonably similar, as are Restricted entries, but it's 
the Open section that is declining - I guess the logistics of entering this 
section under /P conditions are too much for some clubs nowadays.
