[UK-CONTEST] Consultation - NFD

The use of cluster in a contest primarily intended for portable stations seems cock-eyed. Some multi-op fixed stations have a problem getting cluster access. The link between the use of cluster and the multi-op requirement doesn't work for me. I also have a problem with fixed stations in NFD, but as they increase the overall number of active workable stations then fine, but fixed stations working fixed stations seems to really get away from what an NFD is all about.
I would like minimal sections (3 max), no cluster, well spread multipliers which don't skew the rarity of come stations. And yes to more Eu involvement.

Dave YMC and others, I am a bit puzzled at the suggestion of no DX
Cluster in a multi-operator contest.

Single op, yes, because that means no other assistance. MO allows other
assistance whether it is other operators or DX Cluster, which is one of
the reasons that Commonwealth Contest, 21/28 etc has multi-op sections,
to allow single ops to have access to the Cluster.

I cannot see how suddenly you can start to pick and choose which multi
operator contest can or cannot use DX Cluster. This would then lead to
the question of networking and how many computers should be allowed.

Any MO section automatically allows the group to use DX Cluster,
networking, SR2O etc. This has been so in SSB and CW Field Days for many
years.
