Which is more or less what was proposed in the first place.
I really do wish we could get away from the references to Cluster
though. You can't start re-writing the definition of a multi operator
section.
Multi-op is multi-op is Cluster is multi-op is networking is whatever
isn't single operator. End. Next thing is people will say "Oh I didn't
realise G9XXX/P used more than one computer, we want it limited to only
one computer because we are a poor club and can't afford a network
cable." In fact, already we have seen a comment about not using SR2O.
We all agree Cluster has limited use in some contests like Club Calls,
Low Power Field Day, but if someone wants to go that trouble then it is
their choice not ours. Likewise if someone has the expertise to use the
facilities the radio was designed then that is good. G4DRS and myself
designed the GU8D SR2O switching unit for use with the Ft1kMP, and then
modified it to include the mHam Voice Keyer facility. It is most useful
in SSB contests Our choice whether we use it or not.
