Bob,
Thanks for the good wishes and had a real good fun weekend working the dx
etc.. Interesting about N7FU being so early. I managed a qso with W7LR in WA
but that was at a more normal 0731 on Sat Morning . Some of the stateside
signals sounded almost transequatorial with very slow deep qsb plus also
occasional rough almost buzz like quality. Never ceases to amaze me how the
band varies so much. Suppose thats what keeps me coming back for more:-)).
Now I must get cracking with SO2V working as I must have missed a good few
qso,s/multipliers. Cant afford Two radio,s so got to make do with VFO
switching my IC7400.Which when used with N1MMLogger is quite effective.
I was not realy too familiar with Johns Orion, so essentially just stayed
single VFO in case I made a mistake and couldnt get back to normal operation
:-))
Even though the filters were superb I still found using the outboard DSP599
audio filter extremely helpful, specialy found the agc peaking helped dig a
few weakuns out.
Sorry for being so late with the reply but been very busy these past few
days since the contest.
Cheers for now
73 de Vic
