Me too!
I well remember once when GM8FFX and I were sitting on the Cairn 'O'
Mount in North East Scotland during an EU opening "tuning high to low".
Then deliberately not answering anyone, just for the sheer gratification
of listening to the whole 2M band calling us on AM!!  Naughty eh!

I remember those days too.  In particular, one group who I recall
announcing, "tuning both ends in and inside out"  Still young and wet
behind
the ears, I couldn't fail to be impressed. Though I did wonder what on
earth
they were on about.  Still do.
