I don't think the number of team members allowed has much effect on the
number of people taking part.  Doesn't each club just try to get as many
people to come on as possible ?  If they get more than a full team, so much
the better.  They can pick the best scores.

And just to correct the impression that Clive's message gave that more clubs
entered the SSB than the CW leg...  He was quoting the number of teams
rather than the number of Clubs that took part.  After accounting for B and
C teams the number of Clubs that entered last year comes to: 70 on CW,  and
63 on SSB.

So do smaller teams really encourage more clubs to enter ?
