There are no serious losses with that kind of choke balun. It's only the
loss of the extra length of coax that makes up the coil, or maybe a
few watts to make the ferrite beads get slightly warm (if the beads get
hot, they're the wrong type of ferrite, and/or not enough beads).
Choke baluns are very tolerant of high SWR. The ones that aren't are the
transformer types... so don't use those.
