As promised, my astounding score from 3.78 hours, considerably more
than I originally intended to do but I'm a real sucker for contests
where you get to collect things like locators, counties or districts.

        Band QSOs Pts Cty SEC
         3.5 39 82 19 3
           7 51 103 16 9
          14 67 145 23 0
          21 9 23 5 0
       Total 166 353 63 12

I started with 55 minutes on the Saturday afternoon mainly on 20- I
wasn't going to enter so just sat there and enjoyed whatever run there
was, when it stopped I got bored and went away.

I went on for just over an hour from 0030 on Sunday morning and did a
bit of 40 which didn't seem too productive so I migrated to 80 where
there were a few Ws and VEs to be found- actually there seemed more
going on 80 than on 40. Working anything other than europe on 80 is
still a bit of a novelty for me.

Then sunday morning I finished off the last hour and 3/4, till midday.
After which I spent a pleasant half hour tuning round and as kindly as
possible broke it to the people still calling CQ UKDX that the contest
had finished..... Most of the time I spent on 40 - hoping to find Gs
for their district but I only found a handful. 15 seemed pretty well
shut up and away on its holidays and the rest of the time I spent on 20.
Pleased to be called by JY4NE, can't remember if I had JY on hf before
(I have it on 50mhz). Surpirsed to be called by VO1HP on 40 as late as
10:26 on sunday morning but I guess he's not really that far away.

An entertaining little contest really. I _will_ get round to sending
in my entry - that way I can get all righteous and bitchy if they don't
publish the results - there was a bit of controversy about this one
before the event, some people refused to take part because the results
hadn't been posted from the previous one. I note that they have now
though. It's a shame they're using these district codes because nobody
knows what they are. One G sent me his postcode (a natural choice if
you didn't know about the contest before) and I didn't have the heart or
the time to try and explain what he should have been sending (or in fact
any idea about what it might have been).

And I did manage to finish this contest having worked my own country.
Something I failed to do on any band in WAE RTTY (where were you hiding
when you were needed Jim :-) (Can I make a reservation for the next
one?)
