Hi all,
Well done RSGB, and congratulations to Don! I am sure this will be a
monumental task, and will surely attract a load of criticism.
Let us just hope that the RSGB Board will give Don the means, and the time
and space in RadCom, to really get this sorted.
He will also need a lot of input from all of us, although I guess we will
have to wait and see what his requirements are before we start bombarding
him with loads of data!
>From the RTTY side of things, it would appear that the RSGB has unearthed a
large number of new RTTY contesters after the 80m Club Championships.
In past years, it was fairly normal to see around half a dozen G's of
various flavours taking part in RTTY contests.
Over the past 12 months or so, that number has risen to well over 2 dozen. A
pity many do not submit logs, but that is beside the point. They are taking
part in greater numbers each time.
I wonder if the upswing has been noted in the CW and SSB contests too?
Good luck Don!
