I was weary after a busy week and was not 100% at the start of the contest. Fell to sleep at about 0310 for 2 hours on Saturday morning and got quite a poor start with only a couple of hundred in the log. I managed on until about 0830 but the greyline was not what I was expecting. However, after some sleep and a hearty lunch and meeting up at the YOX residence with MU0EXV and Co. on their expedition, duly joined in by Martin G3ZAY who flew in for the weekend  I was ready for the long shift. Things were going a little better but no JA's even though my mail box was full of JA requests with "Bob san listen tonight 1825" etc. With a good run on the Sunday night, I felt that I had done reasonably well. The new shielded loop was my secret weapon and I received many if not all US on this. Great. In a nutshell, the following results:

set up: Yaesu FT1K Mk V and Quadra
Ant Tx: Inverted L at 45 ' (very Windy here all weekend so no 86' ant this year)
Rx Ants: Beverages West and South and Shiny New Shielded Loop - Rotatable and lots of RX switching!
Logging: SD 
(I like Pauls humour - Just before starting I typed GU4YOX in the log field and the comment "You can't work yourself in this contest" came up!!

Great fun though.
