OK, I had originally only scanned the draft this morning, now had
time to digest it.
It does indeed seem that the addition of /A is not what most of us
would interpret it as. It used to be a mechanism of operating from a
temporary FIXED location without needing prior notification. After
notification the /A could be dropped. If notification is required
then it makes it useless for the occasional unscheduled operation. I
suggest Colin takes the comments from here and get them to reconsider
it.
It is implied when operating in CEPT countries that you need to have
the full licence with you, not just the validation document as at
present. If as seems parts are repeated in German and France this may
be a largeish document to take. If it goes missing can you just
download a new copy???
I imagine there are quite a few 'little' things in it which ideally
would need rather more than a week or so to iron out. Is Ofcom trying
to rush things to meet their October 1st deadline?
