A tad off topic, please excuse me.

I'm seeking someone with a working knowledge of spherical trigonometry.

 Why would I need that? Well I'm trying to do some research into anomalous
Es propagation, with particular focus on 50Mhz. To this end I need to
calculate ranges at various take off angles, and the ( amateur) text books
are pretty sketchy in this area. I can just about cope with straightforward
navigational problems, but trying to hack  3D problems such as the
aforementioned really makes my brain hurt! My dimly remembered  1960-vintage
A level maths is just not up to this.

Probably rocket science would not be required, but astronomical expertise
might be helpful?
