Gerry, I am not whinging and you have totally missed the point. It is
not geographical location that prevents the QSOs, it is the rules. The
rules do not permit me to work G3TBK, if he operated from his home about
25 miles away. I have to go out of the UK to be allowed to work UK
stations. I just can't get my head round that one.
Anyway on a positive note. I have been campaigning here to stop big 5
and 6 axle dumper lorries going through my village and two other local
villages. They should be using A and B roads. I e-mailed the haulage
company's MD and Transport Director copies to our local police beat
managers, who are really supportive, local highways authority, parish
councillers etc. Guess what, it worked. My road has returned to its
former glory over the past 2 days. Wonderful news.
