If you were/are that keen to assist in the Operation of one of the GB5HQ
Stations, I assume you have contacted those, for want of a better
description, 'In Charge' and offered your services ?

Going by the tone of your e-mail I suggest that is not the case.

As to being unaware, I beg to differ. Personally I knew last year that
this year was 'On', but the IARU HF Championship is a virtually fixed
item on the contest calender.
