Hi Jim,

If you use the setup I described the CABRILLO shows the correct mode as
required by the RSGB.

N1MM and PSK.
For PSK I set the rig to USB and select the MMVARI engine from the interface
drop down menu in the DI window.  The log shows PSK Qs as PH but I am told
this is normal for PSK contacts.
You don't have to download any additional software as the MMVARI engine in 
included in the N1MM download.
There are also lots of other weird modes you can select in the MMVARI window

which I have not yet tried but will sometime!
