[UK-CONTEST] PSK/RTTY with an old 1000MP

Dear RTTY/PSK experts,

I have one of the early FT1000MP rigs and when I press the PSK button it 
goes into LSB/PSK mode. (I understand this is a design error) How can I 
change this to USB? for PSK. Changing the rig is not an option until I win 
the Lottery.

Also anyone know why a good signal on the RTTY display gives good stong 
peaks but the bar signal graph doesnt move and prints out rubbish???
