[UK-CONTEST] QRS corrale in the CC cw contest

Conditions last night seemed good with lots of activity. Consequently I
struggled to find a spot to run until about 2115 when I squeezed in
around 3551.5 and then ran off 20 or so further contacts to make my
total a little more respectable.....
I did feel a bit guilty as I was just in the QRS section but there were
other, non QRS stations well above me anyhow. While S&Ping earlier I
checked 3550-3570 and there seemed a distinct lack of genuine QRS there,
what I would assume to be sub 15s...? I did work a couple of slower
stations but not what I would class as QRS.
So what is the present status of the qrs section? I do agree with having
somewhere to make newcomers feel comfortable but does having 40% of the
available space dedicated to slow operating make sense when the rest of
the band is heaving - maybe spreading out the existing activity would
make the whole experience more inviting to new ops anyway.
I do agree with having a QRS corrale but one of a sensible size so that
it will remain qrs and not be taken over by default by the masses
breadking out of the bedlam further down.
Would 10KHz (or 5....) make more sense?
Very enjoyable nonetheless and a pity I shall miss next month's event.
