Hi Stewart and all , it seems to me that it's almost impossible unless you
have the latest ban plan fixed in your head that your not going upset
someone at some time, frankly I don't particulary worry too much about it if
I inadvertantly tred on some ones toes. If someone complains then make your
appologies and move on. A good op does what he thinks right at the time
backed up with accumulated knowledge and does'nt deliberately set out to
upset anyone . I think its worse having a lid operator who is in the "right"
band segment causing mayhem by not qrling or being too close etc.etc. than
a good op who might have "strayed ." A classic that springs to mind is at
the top of 80 when the stations can be heard dead on 3.8, when you tune
above they still can be heard in all their glory! out of band ! This does'nt
seem to matter but woe if you encroach onto a sstv frequency!! 73 Paul
