Does anyone have a handle on how the new licence renewal will operate?

My lic due to renew in June, I presume it will be done as now, I pay the £15 or so and get another paper licence to May 07.

Do I need do anything in Oct? How will Ofcom know how and where to contact people electronically? If they have to write to us first bang goes their cost savings.

Will it be a £15 first time payment then nothing for 5 years when we affirm, or would they want 5 x £15, or do we never need pay anything again?

Just been reading the G3XTT  pages in April Radcom. The band slot totals for Dave G3TBK and others will be read with jaw dropping amazement by the boys out here. I managed a single contact which was par for the course here, even Geo 5B4AGC only managed about three, we just could not hear them most of the time on any band or when we did copy could not break the eu piles. Obviously the n/s path was better than towards the east med because often we heard the eu's calling when there was zilch copy on 3y0, having said that though the contacts made by David and those others were an outstanding achievement.
