One hundred and EIGHTY!!
Data doesn't do it for me either, in fact it gives me a headache. But I
definitely think there is a place for it in the 80M CC's. A contest is a
great way of assessing equipment and operating performance. I do pretty well
in the CW and SSB legs but in the RTTY section I'm rubbish. So clearly I've
got a lot to learn from the experts as far as DATA is concerned. I'm not
sure what the answers are though.
I'm inexperienced at Data so my operating techniques must be suspect. On top
of that, with only 17kHz of the band available for the contest, I guess one
answer would be to make myself heard better. I'm already running 100W out
and I've got a good antenna, but other stations seem to get out better than
me. It's a mystery.
