[UK-CONTEST] Stub mast

John

My tower has been grossly overloaded for a decade or more. Currently my
P80HD supports a C31XR about 1m above the head unit and an XM240 about 5m
above that. Two metres above that is my 5 ele 6m yagi.

The trick is to use a Chrome-moly steel stub-mast. Mine is 2 inches
diameter with 5/16 wall. It's very heavy but very strong. I bought it from
a steel tubing supplier somewhere near Nottingham but it's so long ago I
can't remember their name. Look for a high pressure pipe supplier.

Cheers.

Bob, 5B4AGN
