Sorry for the bandwidth, but it's just possible the answer lies in this group !

I have just put up a SteppIR yagi, and am trying to control it from the FT1000MPMkV.

Although the MkV, if connected directly to the SteppIR control box will talk to it, when I use the alternative configuration of having the SteppIR control box "listen" to the radio response when being polled by a logging programme, nothing happens.

Is anyone here managing to use the "Y-connector" approach to getting a SteppIR to track with a Yaesu transceiver ?  If so, could you let me know off-reflector, and I'd like a little more info.
