Hi all
Had hoped to spend most of weekend on this one for a single op,
low power , UA entry. However worked away all week and didn't get home
until late Friday. Station needed sorting out etc. etc. so didn't get
rolling until after 15.00 on Sat. HF bands were quite reasonable but
when I came to try 80m I just could not get anyone to hear me with my
100w into a G5RV. Ah, I hear you say, not a good antenna for 80m. Now
of course I found that out in the 2005 contest and had intended to do
something about it, but - - - - , time passes! I then sort of lost
interest but kept looking for new mults but didn't really bother with
lots of 1 point QSOs and I didn't even try 160m. Operated for about 15
hrs on and off.
