[UK-CONTEST] Remote Operation

So...
If a radio club has a station with a club call, they could run their station with the ability to connect remotely, and 'members' could operate from their homes. I believe this would be within the terms of the licence.
I'm certainly not driving to Milton Keynes every time she wants to operate! I find it sad that technology has progressed to a point where we can do these things now, and now we have legislation which is effectively preventing it. Linda can't erect antennas where she lives, so this is a good solution to get her (and potentially others) on the radio bands.
But at least she won't have to keep a log!

I am a bit puzzled by this interpretation of 'direct supervision' - it is
obviously impractical for Stewart to travel to Linda's QTH (Linda is our
excellent GM7V/GZ7V QSL manager as well!) when Linda wants to use the
station, but surely for the duration of the remote operation the station
could be regarded as Linda's station (i.e. MM0CMK) ?

Alternatively, if Stewart is monitoring the operation of the station,
whether by being in his shack beside the equipment, or over the internet,
does this not constitute 'direct supervision' ?
