Hullo UK Contesters,
A topic which appears on here quite frequently is the amount of space (or rather the lack of space) for contest results within RadCom.
After several decades of absence I recently renewed my membership of the French national society : REF.
The Sep 06 issue of their monthly "Radio REF" magazine contains 72 pages. There are about 60 pages of editorial matter. No less than 40 of these pages are dedicated to "operating" [HF, VHF, QSL Info etc] and to "contest results" [IARU Reg 1 UHF, various VHF contests, the REF CW contest plus results listings of F stations in the ARRL and several other non-French contests etc].
The contest 'mix' in this issue of Radio REF is probably exceptionally high because of the REF CW Contest results, but does confirm a point made by Dennis G3MXJ/F5VHY on here before : i.e that the REF's magazine is focussed more on HF/VHF DX operating and, in particular, on contest operating than RadCom, with its seemingly permanent 'squeeze' on space for contest results.
