That's what I use, 60mA 'grain of wheat' bulb, 33ohm resistor and .01uF 
capacitor in series and two strings of four 1N914s back to back. When I 
have a short beverage in the garden, it goes *between* two of the 
elements of the 4-sq and the lamp lights on 40m, but all is well never 
blown a lamp nor, more importantly, the front end of the MP.
