Never fear. A QTC sender will NOT be penalised if you take
the traffic but do not yourself submit a log. This has been
explicitly articulated by DARC to me personally in the past.
However, if you take the QTC , submit a log but do not
include the QTCs, that could be equivocal, but that seems a
fairly unlikely scenario doesn't it?

Sadly there is much begging to be dome for QTCs, especially
on the Sunday, and this is not one of the most illustrious
parts of the event. In addition some DX stations are known
to save QTCs for their mates, and refuse casual requestors.
The rules could benefit from "clarification" in this area,
but since DARC is a highly efficient but not remarkably
proactive or responsive organisation, I suspect this may not
happen any time soon.

Addressing Danny's point about recording and post contest
editing of the exchange in ROPOCO, I am pleased to say that
my cynicism does not extend to acknowledging that this is
even remotely likely. If I were ever to be disabused of this
point of view, I might "consider my position" in Amateur
Radio :-((
