It's a few years since I parted company with my MP's and I no longer have a
manual or cct diags. So I can only offer very limited help.
30/20m bands often share a common LPF at a transceiver output. Often,
though not always, this LPF is also in the receive path. If I had the
problem you describe, I'd start my search at the output LPF. Relay failure
perhaps.
Given the MP is general coverage, the bpfs will be pretty wide too.
However, if I recall correctly, not so wide that 30/20m could share.
A look at the cct diag would be useful.
