Sorry, Roger, I rose to the bait and was not specific enough. I think 
the original posting mentioned paid staff. In which case my thoughts 
were that out-sourcing back to volunteers would be less of a strain on 
Society finances and therefore a good thing. Many of the Societies 
activities are carried out by volunteers, if we had to pay for all of 
those then the subs would run into £Ks pa.

My main concern is that all of us who hold a UK licence should support 
our national society in ALL of its endeavours by being a member and 
paying a full.
