This week's data leg of Club Champs was my first ever attempt at a data
event. Like some others I was thinking of giving up, when all I had managed
to make was two QSOs in the first 30 minutes. Some signals were difficult to
decode and several stations that I called ignored me, but in the best
Mastermind tradition of "I've started, so I'll finish", I plodded on. I'm
glad I did, because from 20:30 my QSO rate improved dramatically (and
suddenly). I even started to get replies to CQs. All this adds weight to
those who have said they also thought conditions improved. I ended up with
29 in the log.
