Yes.. that was *my* pilot error .. I used my Call not my number from the 
validation document.

I didn't think it particularly obvious until my paper confirmation came 
which was blank.. doh! my mistake

I have to say that I did end up with several full licences and a ships 
licence at one stage due to trial and error but this was all cleared up 
with a few polite e-mails to the "helpdesk"

On the subject of IE7 - it seems to work fine as long as your java 
settings are correct and up to date.
