[UK-CONTEST] New licence docs

Yes, and we have a meeting with them (Ofcom) on the 26th of this month!

I registered with some difficulty at the beginning of December (and used
my callsign instead of licence number). Having registered I then
re-entered the website using first initial and surname in upper case and
the password used when registering. I then completed the validation
details, left the site, re-entered and the document was ready for
downloading. The confirmation letter from Ofcom arrived some 3 weeks
later!

I validated my XYL's licence last week and the system had greatly
improved and an acknowledgement email arrived within minutes advising
her to download her new licence.

For people like Paul GW8IZR who recently received a 12 month licence
through the post you have two options. You can operate under the old
BR68 T&Cs (including using /M and /P as a mandatory requirement) or you
can validate and download the new licence which automatically supercedes
the prebious licence.

The official line from Ofcom is that they were not expecting such a
large number of people to re-validate their licence so soon after 1st
December. Naive or what! If nothing else it has probably given the
programmers in Mumbai some additional income. :-X (Rumour)
