I certainly rememer writing a VHF NFD report up some years ago where one of
the groups reported an operator having to be taken to hospital after hot
filling a petrol genny.

G'day,
| the 80m Club Championships may lead to more entries in NFD this year.
| Go to http://www.contesting.co.uk/hfcc/features/articles/fograt.shtml
| and find out how easy it can be to set up a field day station!
And read the following potentially lethal comment:
///
Whatever generator is used, it is worth applying a constant minimum load
of at least 100w, and this can be done by mounting a 100w bulb on a post
by the generator. This also makes it easier to fill the generator in the
middle of the night.
///
Fill the genny whilst its running! Most warn you to switch it off and let
it cool for a couple of minutes, that is unless you like skin grafts.
Regards,
Mike VP8NO
