Hi All

Thanks for the replies, I have discovered that using the 3.5m socket there is no problem.  Yep using a heil headset in one socket and a poor quality set of cans in the other....

The filter is now working....I had forgotten to push the button in the correct order. 

RIght off to do a breifing sheet for FD now...and may be work a few on 80 later.
