W103 50 ohm coax has a VF of around .85 so is fine for 4sq use with the required length being just longer than
the distance from the centre of the array to each element. When cutting the phasing lines for a 4-sq, it's
advisaable to cut them to the correct length using a MFJ antenna analyser.
With a 4-sq, it is also very important to have a good radial field under each element - preferably 50+ radials on
each one. And each element needs to show approximately equal RES/IMP readings - again with the MFJ.
Do all this and you will have a super 40m setup as I have had here for the past two years!
