Good post Gerry.
<If you are an unassisted single op, especially if low power single op,
the most successful strategy is probably to turn the dial.>
Well that was me and that is what I did, can never recall having had to do that so often nor can I ever recall tuning away so often without having a clue who the dx stn was though!. Think I omitted to state my 100w category, I left my amp and X7 behind in the uk. I don't miss them and am happy to be a little pistol. Trust me it gives even more satisfaction to break a big pile as a little gun but we feel the effects of this bad behaviour more. By that I mean upon making contact because the dx stn only got a partial I was bombed out by idiots who just kept calling, I lost 3 mlts that way and was only able to get back to one of them later. I don't blame the dx stns, copy was marginal and they gave it a few shots. Without the cluster we would not have to suffer these morons who do not read cw, before cluster became so widespread we didn't suffer this problem anything like so badly.
I am not a Luddite, the cluster has it's place but it has got to the stage which is spoiling our enjoyment, so is the hobby happy to sit on their hands shaking heads and doing nothing whilst the problem gets worse and worse ? I hope there can be some concentration of minds to work upon finding a solution.
