[UK-CONTEST] IARU Rules

Yes, it doesn't allow for invention or creativity. You just queue up and
work folk! Even a spotting rx station can't do any more than build a
list of possible mults on another band. Then when you QSY you just trawl
through them hoping they're still there and then you're forced to remain
on the band until 10 mins expires.

It is a strange rule, but was the same last year. In 2007, there were
three operators here at the station doing the IARU contest. We did a
multi-single type effort, with the second station only working mults.
But there is no such category in IARU, so we could not submit an entry.

At least you have checked the rule before the event, which is something
that I didn't do !

I see that in the IARU rules the multi-op, single trasmitter category
says:
You are not allowed a second radio that works only multipliers
So, you are literally only allowed not just one transmitted signal
(fine) but only one transmitter. You have multiple operators, but they
wait in a queue behind the only radio? And once you QSY to work a mult
you have to remain on the QSY'ed band for another 10 minutes?
Surely it should say:
You are allowed a second radio that works only multipliers
...or am I missing something?
