A very disappointing performance here. Activity seemed a bit low, and I had problems with the keyer (apologies to those who got incomprehensible CW from me for a moment)

I elected to go for a lower dipole this year, with the option of using the Titanex vertical for longer haul. I think this may have been wrong, and I should have had the dipole at full height. It was dire for part of the contest and used S&P quite a bit whilst trying to hold a good run frequency. Rates in the four hours (inc dupes) were 99 - 76 - 56 - 33.

Clean total 256 QSOs which is a lot down on some previous years.

For the SSB section, I'm thinking of SO2R - I found I used the K9AY for receive for the whole of the CW section, and that is far enough from both the 80 antennas to allow me to listen whilst sending on the same band. I'll either get some benefit, drive myself mad, or blow a front-end. Watch this space.

73 - and congrats to those who made a great score.

Don, G3BJ
