Cris,

It should be remembered that the RSGB is considered a democratic 
organisation and every member has a right to an opinion.   There is also 
a disclaimer in "The Last Word" column that the opinions of the letter 
writers are not necessarily RSGB policy.

Sorry I couldn't make it on over the weekend.   Society and family 
commitments made it impossible.
