[UK-CONTEST] Contesting + support

Dear All

The RSGB has, for many years had, a series of contests designed for  
newcomers. They require minimal equipment, are short (4 hours), not very  
intense and are great fun. Not only that but there are five spread over  
the summer a month apart and the results appear quickly. This gives the  
opportunity to reflect on perfomance and modify things to see what works.  
They seem to me to offer a greatintroduction to contesting.

Despite all those advantages they are poorly supported.
