Hello all

Commonwealth Contest 2008 - GB5CC

It's always great fun being a 'mult' in any contest - the exotic DX often
calls you instead of you always having to go looking for it. Conditions
better than expected until about 0600 on Sunday, when things fizzled out a
bit. 20m long-path to VK/ZL was a real surprise and the 40m long-path was
quite good too.

GB5CC made 655 QSOs (645 scoring QSOs) for a claimed score of 4870 pts. This
is a relatively low score because all UK QSOs count zero points. Worked 393
UK stations (365 x G, 28 x M, 2 x 2E) = 60% of total QSOs. GM4FAM, GM0GAV,
G3BJ and G4TSH were the only stations worked on all 5 bands.

GB5CC worked 43 Commonwealth call areas :
5B,V2,V4,VE1,VE2,VE3,VE5,VE7,VE9,VO1,VP8,VQ5,VQ9,
VU2,VK2,VK3,VK4,VK6,VK7,ZB2,ZC4,VY2,ZD7,ZF2,ZL1,
ZL2,ZL3,ZL4,ZS1,ZS2,ZS3,ZS4,ZS6,J8,3B8,5X,7Q,8P,9H,
9J,9M2,9M6,9V

Thanks to everyone for the QSOs and thanks to those who went on DXpeditions
for BERU 2008.
